Privacy policy
Effective 2026-10-01. Covers slipdate.com, the Slipdate YouTube channel, and the publishing tool that uploads the owner's videos to YouTube.
Who runs this
The site, the channel and the publishing tool are run by one person, the owner of Slipdate. Questions, corrections or requests about your data: [email protected].
Visitors to the website
- There are no accounts, no sign-in, no forms and no advertising. Nothing is sold.
- The site uses no cookies of its own. It may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
- The site is served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, sees requests (including IP addresses) to deliver and protect the pages; see Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
- Links to Telegram, Bluesky, Mastodon and YouTube lead to those services, which have their own policies.
YouTube
The publishing tool uses the YouTube API Services. By using the YouTube features of this service you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. YouTube is a Google service: see the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
- Who signs in: only the channels' owner, to their own channels. The tool signs in no one else and offers no sign-in to the public.
- What it reads: the view, like and comment counts of our own videos, and our own channels' subscriber counts. It reads nothing about viewers or about any other channel.
- What it stores: the OAuth refresh tokens that let it upload to our own channels; the ids and titles of the videos it uploaded; and the statistics above.
- Where: on one private computer run by the owner. It is not shared with, sold or disclosed to anyone.
- How long: YouTube statistics are kept for no more than 36 months, then deleted. Any other data obtained from YouTube is kept for no more than 30 days, except the record of our own uploads (their ids and titles).
Revoking access and deletion
- Access can be revoked at any time at Google's security settings: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. When access is revoked, the stored token stops working and is deleted.
- To ask for any data held about you, or for its deletion, write to [email protected]. We aim to answer requests promptly.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page changes, with a new effective date.
